The AIA Charlotte Women In Architecture Committee (WIA) represents the entire AEC community, enriching the development of women by providing opportunities for growth through networking, outreach, mentorship, and leadership. Our events and meetings focus on providing a definitive leadership resource for women amongst allied design and building industry professionals to encourage life and career development. Our goal is to provide a platform for professional women's voices to be projected throughout the AEC Industries, as well as the following:

• Mentorship, networking with other female groups
• Community involvement - legacy project
• Life / career development
• Advocacy / promotion of women in the profession
