COTE

History:

In 2021, the AIA Charlotte Board of Directors formed the Climate Action Committee. AIA Charlotte, as a component of AIA, had adopted the Climate Action Resolution and committed to prioritizing and supporting the resolution locally. As its first initiative in 2022, the AIA Charlotte Climate Action Committee worked closely with AIA North Carolina in joint initiatives focused on the Climate Action Resolution specifically. Since then, the Committee has expanded its efforts to encompass a wider variety of educational resources and events to empower the local community to build with the principles of health, equity, resiliency, and the environment in mind.

We aim to drive positive change by prioritizing principles of sustainability, equity, and resilience. Through collaborative efforts with our allied partnerships, we hope to educate, engage, and inspire our members and the communities they serve.
