Project: CC House
Location: Marvin, NC
Architect of Record: biloba Architecture

Nestled on a 4 acre wooded site, the CC house is a modern sustainable home built for a graphic designer and former CFO. The project features an innovative structural roof system composed of glued laminated beams and 2 x 4's rotated on their short end. The skylights cast light through the 2 x 4 roof deck onto the polished concrete floors below. Sustainable features include solar panels, radiant heating system, dual-flush toilets, and a mixture of 2x6 and 2x10 stud walls. The project was oriented to capture winter sun, while the deep cantilevered roof allows the summer sun to heat up the concrete floors.
