Creech & Associates is a mid-sized firm with studios in Charlotte and Charleston.  The firm is seeking a qualified Project Manager / Project Architect with a passion for all phases of the design and construction process.  The focus of the firm is in higher education, corporate headquarters, commercial, adaptive/ historic reuse and civic projects. Potential candidates should have 7+ years of experience of similar architectural projects, and strong computer aptitude and technical skills, including an in-depth knowledge of Revit.

Many of our projects have short time frames for production, therefore candidates must be self-motivated, able to succeed in a fast-paced office environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.  This position has overall responsibility for the assigned projects, quality and client satisfaction and managing the overall schedule and budget.  

Key Responsibilities

Manage team through all phases of the architectural project, including project set-up, design and construction.

Manage the schedule and the budget of the project.

Create and communicate clear and attainable project objectives and requirements.

Facilitate meetings with the clients as well as the consultants.

Help prepare project proposals and negotiate contracts.

Help coordinate the bidding process.

Track financial performance of project.

Ensure projects conform to contract.

Develop, manage and maintain client relationships.

Requirements of the Applicant

  • Professional degree (Master or Bachelor) in Architecture
  • 7+ years architectural experience
  • Architectural Registration in North Carolina and/or South Carolina, preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership with project teams, including the ability to train other employees
  • Experience with guiding a project from programming through construction
  • Knowledge of building codes, standards and structures
  • Proven fiscal accountability and responsibility on past projects
  • Adept at maintaining existing client relationships and building new ones
  • Good communication and management skills
  • Ability to handle difficult situations with tact and poise
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment
  • Strong knowledge of Revit
