Cline Design Associates, PA., is an award winning multi-disciplinary architectural firm with offices in Raleigh and Charlotte, North Carolina. Our Charlotte office has an opening for an Interior Designer or Intern Architect with 0-4 years of experience (will consider a student with a strong portfolio).  Candidate must have space planning skills, ability to follow instructions for required tasks, ability to work with project teams at various stages of design, and have the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced office environment.  Revit proficiency is mandatory.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare interior design construction drawings, renderings and presentation packages
  • Provide support to designers and project managers
  • Space planning, technical detailing, furnishing layouts and finish specifications
  • Ability to develop an approved schematic plan into a set of construction documents under guidance of Project Manager
  • Awareness of building codes and ADA compliance rules with the ability to research and apply code interpretation to a project
  • Document coordination with MEP and Architecture
  • Assist in the selection and specification of materials, finishes, furniture, lighting and art
  • Consult with vendors, research and propose FF&E materials and products within budget
  • Prepare concept and design packages
  • Other duties that may be assigned

 

Qualifications:

  • 0-4 years in commercial interior design or architecture (students with strong portfolios will be considered)
  • Proficiency in Revit is required
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite and Sketchup
  • Knowledge of the design process and the phases required to build a project
  • Knowledge of FF&E, furniture systems and specifications desired
  • Strong graphic and visualization skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to stay focused in an open team environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture from an accredited college or university mandatory
  • Portfolio submission required
