Japanese Architecture for Elves: Exploring how Designers use 'Pop History' to Visually Construct Cultures.Richard will spend a portion of this June and July traveling between Tokyo, Kyoto, and Nara as part of his research, which also includes a conference presentation at the ARCC-EAAE international research conference in Philadelphia this May. The proposal is particularly thoughtful and intelligent, and we are looking forward to Richard’s presentation of his work at theAIA Charlotte’s October meeting, and again back here at Storrs at the end of the year.
The Fellowship, which is sponsored by both the Charlotte AIA and the School of Architecture, is an award in the amount of $5,000.00 given to a UNC Charlotte SoA student for travel and study in or out of the continental USA
