This course is designed to be a thought-provoking elevator education presentation geared towards the architect, specifier, and designers of mid-rise buildings

Target Audience: Architects and specifiers. This program is basic and meets the needs of professionals at every experience level.

 

Learning Objectives: After completion of this course, participants will:

 

 1. Review the topics discussed in Elevator Education 101: what is vertical transportation and the most common types?

 2. A closer look at the aspects of a traction elevator: the basic parts, safety equipment, regenerative drives and hoisting machine configurations.

 3. Things to think about when designing for elevators in a mid-rise building: dispatching, security, traffic analysis, location and grouping

4. What to consider when planning: space, speed and specs, as well as a review of building code requirements for FSAE
