January Membership Meeting - The AIA Materials Pledge: Low-Carbon, Resilient, and Health-Focused Building Envelopes
When: 1/15/2026
This course examines how building product selection can directly support the AIA Materials Pledge while protecting occupant health, safety, and welfare. Through case examples and discussion with our supporting sponsors, participants will explore strategies to reduce embodied and operational carbon, increase building resiliency and durability, and improve indoor and outdoor environmental quality. The session will address how transparency documentation, material chemistry, and supply chain practices influence long-term performance and risk, and how to incorporate these considerations into specifications and design decisions that better serve building occupants and communities. This program has been approved for 1 HSW credit.
