Join AIA Charlotte Knowledge Communities for an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center expansion, currently approaching 90% completion. This unique opportunity will provide participants with firsthand access to the Adult Acute Care New Bed Tower project featuring advanced prefabricated façade and building enclosure systems

Representatives from Eastern Exterior Wall systems- the project prefabricator, and Rodgers Builders- the general contractor, will lead the tour and discuss the collaborative design, fabrication, and construction processes that have helped deliver this complex healthcare facility. Through guided observations and discussions, participants will explore the design, coordination, fabrication, transportation, and installation of prefabricated façade systems. The tour will also examine how these systems contribute to sustainability goals, resilience, long-term durability, and operational continuity for critical healthcare facilities.

Registration is limited to 30 participants. Please note that it is an active construction site and attendees are encouraged to bring their own PPE, including a hard hat, closed toe shoes, safety vest, and safety glasses. A limited quantity of PPE will be available on-site for those who need it.
