Inside | Out Symposium
When: 3/31/2022
1:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Where:
NoDa Brewing Company
2921 N. Tryon Street
Mechanical conditioning has become a welcome resource in many regions, allowing for the expansion of previously underdeveloped climate zones. However, the overwhelming use of air conditioning as the primary thermal strategy has given way to a ubiquitous placelessness among buildings and an overall detachment from nature, excessive energy consumption, carbon emissions and expansive ecological degradation. This has created numerous health implications surrounding indoor air quality that have been particularly apparent during the COVID-19 pandemic.
This one-day symposium brings together speakers from both practice and academia to discuss alternate models of habitation of the indoor microbiome with a dominant focus on human health. 3.5 AIA HSW credits
