Position Overview: The Project manager will lead our new Senior Living project team in the Charlotte office. The Project Manager is responsible for the coordination of all project efforts, administrative and technical, to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects. Serves as the primary client liaison to bring the schedule, budgets, and scope of work to completion and to the client’s satisfaction. Actively manages client budgets, schedules, and programs, project communications and documentation, office administrative tasks, and project team assignments. Estimates fees, determines the scope of work, and prepares proposals and contracts.

What you'll do:

  • Project Leadership: Assume a leadership role in senior living projects, overseeing all phases from conception to completion, ensuring that projects are executed efficiently and effectively.
  • Client Engagement: Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, actively listening to client needs, presenting design concepts, and ensuring projects align with the vision and goals of senior living communities.
  • Design Direction: Provide design guidance and direction to project teams, ensuring that senior living projects meet the highest standards of quality, functionality, and resident well-being.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and inspire project teams, fostering collaboration, professional growth, and a culture of design innovation.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that senior living projects adhere to all relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Quality Assurance: Oversee the development of design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and construction documents, to maintain design integrity and compliance.
  • Financial Management: Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources, ensuring projects are delivered within financial parameters.
  • Risk Management: Identify and address potential project risks, proactively developing strategies to mitigate challenges and ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Construction Administration: Collaborate with construction teams during the construction phase, addressing design-related queries and ensuring that the built project aligns with the design intent.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including meeting minutes, reports, correspondence, and change orders, to support project accountability and transparency.
  • Senior Living Expertise: Stay informed about best practices, emerging trends, and innovations in senior living design to ensure that projects are at the forefront of the field.

Qualifications

What you need to bring:

  • Have a positive attitude with a sense of humor
  • Excellent leadership attributes to mentor supporting staff
  • Excellent time management, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and follow-through ability
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Thorough understanding and preparation of design projects through all phases of development, senior housing experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Revit
  • Prefer 8+ years of design experience, 5 years of Project Management experience.
  • License preferred but not required
  • Professional degree from an accredited college or university
  • Strong presentation skills
