Project Architect and Senior Project Architect Experience
Cunningham | Quill Architects, an award-winning architectural practice based in Washington, DC and Charlotte, NC, is seeking motivated licensed Project Architects with 5+ years of experience and Senior Project Architects with 8+ years of experience to join our Charlotte office. Through design leadership and project management responsibilities, new employees will support our diverse portfolio that includes single-family residential, multi-family residential, institutional, adaptive reuse and historic preservation, mixed-use commercial, master planning, and urban design.
Our open office studio fosters collaboration with the Principals and staff from concept to project completion. We support personal and professional development at all levels with ongoing continuing education programs, lectures, and guest speakers. Qualifications
- Professional Licensure is required;
- Project Architects with a minimum of 5 years of experience as an architect on built projects.
- Senior Project Architects with a minimum of 8 years of experience as an architect on built projects.
- Graduate Degree in Architecture from an NCARB-accredited program;
- Detail-oriented and proactive individual with the ability to multitask multiple project efforts effectively and efficiently;
- Demonstrates knowledge of local building codes and zoning ordinances;
- Experience in design documentation, modeling, & graphics;
- Experience managing project teams and consultants;
- Experience managing project budgets and fees;
- Experience leading the development of drawing documentation and specifications;
- Possess strong technical detailing experience with solid knowledge of building assemblies and systems, construction techniques and technologies;
- Strong communication and writing skills, with the ability to interact independently and effectively with clients, regulatory groups, and other project team members;
- Experience in construction administration;
- Required program experience: AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Suite
- LEED accreditation is a plus
