About the Role

UAG is seeking an experienced Project Architect/Designer II/III to join our group that values the design process, technical proficiency, and a dynamic work environment. Working with UAG provides a diverse learning experience through a variety of project types including Multi-family, Medical, Commercial, Industrial, and Workplace—all associated with a Live, Work, Play attitude.

Specifically, UAG is looking for a skilled Architect/Designer with a passion for the Healthcare industry, including Medical, Dental, Veterinarian, Optometry, and Ambulatory Care Facilities.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

  • Self-manage project assignments from start to finish with oversight
  • Enjoy working on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Organized, understands how to work with and coordinate with other disciplines, managing project schedules and deadlines.
  • A good listener and a good communicator, respectful of your interactions with others.
  • Assist with consultants, vendor and client relationships
  • Addressing design compliance with relevant codes, ordinances, and regulations.
  • Understanding design & spatial relationships as to how projects are organized and constructed.
  • Able to produce high-quality drawings and develop construction documents.
  • Select and specify materials and finishes
  • Perform construction phase tasks including site visits, RFI responses and submittal review & shop drawings.
  • Keep supervisor informed of progress or need assistance.

Qualifications

  • Work history of 7-15 years of experience in professional design practice.
  • Licensed Professional Architect but not required.
  • Proficiency in A/E technology and software, including Revit & Autocad. Other rendering/graphics programs are a plus (e.g., Lumion, Sketchup).
  • Ability to effectively work independently or with a team.
  • Solid design and technical production skills, demonstrating the ability to effectively produce design & construction documents.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of relevant building codes.
  • Organizational skills to prioritize tasks while handling multiple deadlines.
  • Self-motivated and desire to learn about all aspects of Architecture.
