Little, nationally recognized as a “Best Firm to Work For” and one of the nation’s most progressive design firms, is seeking a Junior Project Accountant with a collaborative work style, to be located in our Charlotte, NC office.
The individual selected for this opportunity will support the entire project accounting team in a variety of clerical and general accounting duties. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, curious, detail oriented, organized. They will also posses excellent communication skills, demonstrate a positive, flexible attitude, and enjoy collaborating in a team environment.
The individual selected for this opportunity will have growth opportunities to advance into a project accountant role with their own body of work w progressive training. He/she will work closely with members of the project accounting & finance team and in the future also w leadership and Project Managers in all aspects of project accounting.
Immediate responsibilities to include:
- Project maintenance, including project setup, project budget entry and maintenance of projects in the accounting system (BST)
- Billing
- Providing copies of backup, invoices and documentation to both internal and external clients
Progressive responsibilities to include:
- A/R Collections
- Revenue recognition, assisting forecasting process, project and WIP analysis,
- Project Manager Training
Qualifications
The ideal candidates will possess the following qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting required
- One to three years accounting experience preferred
- Prefer experience with Architecture, Engineering, Interior Design or professional services firm
- Solid computer skills including MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook), Adobe, and accounting software experience (Industry software experience preferred, BST, Deltek, Timberline etc)
