Little, nationally recognized as a “Best Firm to Work For” and one of the nation’s most progressive design firms, is seeking an Intern Architect with a positive, collaborative work style for our growing Workplace-Office Studio in our Charlotte, NC office.

The ideal candidate for this opportunity will be an ambitious, creative Experienced Intern Architect who is passionate about design and is looking to improve the performance of our clients through creative collaboration and breakthrough ideas. 

A position you’ll love:

  • You’ll be providing conceptual design and design support documentation as part of teams working on a variety of office and mixed-use projects ranging from individual buildings, to large urban + suburban developments and master planning studies;
  • You’ll be participating as part of construction document teams on highly designed and detail oriented projects while learning about construction practices on real project sites;
  • You’ll have the opportunity to build models, both physical and digital; and
  • You will be working with a highly collaborative team to produce and execute extraordinary work.

Qualifications

Ideal candidates will have the following Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from an accredited university (desire to work towards becoming a registered architect);
  • 1-2 years of professional work experience;
  • Excellent communication skills and highly organized;
  • Extraordinary computer skills including the software:
    • Autodesk programs with an emphasis on Revit
    • Free-form modeling programs such as Rhino and SketchUp
    • Rendering software such as Enscape or Lumion
    • Programs used to prepare presentation documents such as InDesign and Photoshop
    • Knowledge of Grasshopper and/or Dynamo is desired but not required
  • Self-motivation and a desire to learn about all aspects of Architecture;
  • A self-starter, inquisitive and creative thinker and an independent problem solver; and
  • Able to work collaboratively in a team environment and has a positive disposition.
