Cunningham | Quill Architects, an award-winning architectural practice based in Washington, DC, and Charlotte, NC, is seeking motivated Architectural Designers with up to 3 years of experience to join our Charlotte office. Through myriad design responsibilities, new employees will support our diverse portfolio that includes single-family residential, multi-family residential, institutional, adaptive reuse and historic preservation, mixed-use commercial, master planning, and urban design. 

Our open office studio fosters collaboration with the Principals and staff from concept to project completion. In addition to the opportunity to work on myriad project types from concept design through construction completion, this position also offers opportunities to engage in firm leadership roles.

We support personal and professional development at all levels with ongoing continuing education programs, lectures, and guest speakers.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Architecture from NCARB-accredited program;
  • Motivation to obtain Professional Registration;
  • Self-starter with strong conceptual design skills and critical design thinking;
  • Graduate Degree in Architecture from an NCARB-accredited program;
  • Strong graphic presentation skills;
  • Ability and motivation to learn building codes, zoning ordinances, and other professional practice criteria through independent research and in close mentorship with senior level colleagues;
  • Experience in design documentation, modeling, & graphics;
  • Professional experience with: Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, SketchUp, and rendering software
