C DESIGN is now seeking a talented Interior Designer to work under supervision of the Director of Workplace Interiors. Interior Designer is to be experienced in the design process of commercial interiors with emphasis on Workplace practice. The successful candidate will desire to contribute to the success of a medium sized, award-winning firm that actively participates in the community. Candidate will be passionate about design, possess excellent communication skills, and shall be detail-oriented, efficient and devoted to quality output. Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment, and possess the organization skills to prioritize task and handle multiple deadlines.


- Participate in creative collaboration in all phases of the design process

- Possess understanding of programming process & excellent space planning capabilities

- Understanding of test-fits & BOMA calculations

- Prepare design concepts and presentations including renderings, and other related design materials

- Skilled at material selection and specifications

- Knowledge of furniture, furniture systems and specifications

- Assist with consultant, vendor and client relationships

- Assist with materials library maintenance and organization

- Perform research related to building code requirements

- Development of Construction Documents

- Keep supervisor informed of progress and need for assistance


- Progressive work history of 1-5 years of experience in a professional design practice

- Qualified applicants should possess or be in process of obtaining professional certification(s)

- LEED Accreditation and/or Green Globes Professional Certification is a plus

- Experience with graphics software such as Google Sketchup, Adobe Creative Suite & REVIT preferred

- Possess excellent time management skills and ability to work on multiple projects

- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills, organizational abilities and cooperative approach

- Ability to interact professionally with office leadership and clients

- Ability to direct and motivate work efforts of other and handle stressful situations

- Ability to self-manage project assignments from start to finish with oversight

- Demonstrated ability to effectively produce design & construction documents

- Understanding of relevant codes such as state building codes and ANSI 11
