Yung Ho Chang is Professor and Head of the Department of Architecture at MIT. He was the former Head of the Graduate Center of Architecture at Peking University. He taught in the US for 15 years before returning to Beijing to establish one of the first independent practices in China, Atelier FCJZ. He has exhibited internationally as an architect as well as an artist and is widely published, including the monograph Yung Ho Chang/Atelier Feichang Jianzhu: A Chinese Practice. Professor Chang’s lecture will present recent work from Atelier FCJZ in the context of his interdisciplinary research on the city, materiality, and tradition. |
